Psalm 42:8 Amplified Bible
Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song will be with me, A prayer to the God of my life.

GOD is such an approachable and loving Father. We know this because JESUS CHRIST is His Son and the expression of His love.
Hebrews 1:2-3 Easy-to-Read Version says: And now in these last days, God has spoken to us again through his Son. He made the whole world through his Son. And he has chosen his Son to have all things. The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature, and he holds everything together by his powerful command.
A relationship with JESUS is better than having a best friend, closer than having a brother or sister. It is more enduring than the affections of a mother or father.
The only qualification for His loving forgiveness is to believe in Him and say “yes”. People have written long essays and book volumes about how be be saved. But GOD has made it easy.
There are just 2 steps: believe and confess that you believe.
Romans 10:9-10 New International Version says: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Whoever believes will be saved.
People often miss out on the intimacy that JESUS offers. They picture Him as a far-away entity, who is untouchable, unreachable. But He offers a much more personal presence to us.
It is like the memories we may have of falling down and scraping our knee as a child. We may recall a mother, or the person who took care of us, making us feel so much better. They might have put a bandage on and given a hug. At that time, the knee may still have hurt, but the pain was forgotten, melted away in the sweet moment of that hug.
Psalm 145:14 says: The Lord sustains all who fall and raises up all who are bowed down.
Psalm 146:8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous…
There are so many places in the Bible that illustrate GOD’s tendency to lift, comfort, and catch us. He performs this in our lives through His amazing Son, JESUS CHRIST.

Psalm 18:48 says: He delivers me from my enemies; Surely You lift me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent man.
Psalm 113:7 adds: He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the needy from the ash heap.
A favorite passage, Psalm 27:5 promises: For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.
Another often quoted scripture is Psalm 91:11-12 New King James Version: For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall [a]bear you up, Lest you [b]dash your foot against a stone.
The depth of GOD’s kindness and love is indescribable. In trying to find words to express this relationship, the psalmist David states in Psalm 63:1-3 New International Version: You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
After experiencing GOD’s magnificence, another psalmist wrote Psalm 136:1 New King James Version : Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Having GOD in our lives cultivates such a level of confidence and security. This is expressed in Psalm 36:7 New King James Version : How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.
What If We Don’t Have Loving Memories?
Some may say, I don’t ever remember kind moments in my childhood. I didn’t have an affectionate or tender caregiver when I was growing up. Never fear. Your Affectionate Caregiver is here now. JESUS knows how to wipe away all tears from your eyes. His embrace reaches deeper than the embrace of the kindest mom or dad. GOD promised, when your mother and father forsake you, He will take up your cause.
GOD spoke in Isaiah 49:15 New International Version: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!…”
David understood this promise when he wrote in Psalm 27:10 New King James Version: When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me.
GOD’s fatherhood is eternal. He never leaves. His love never ends.
He spoke the following passage to Israel when they were facing enemies (and the promise extends to all those who call on the name of the Lord). “…Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 New International Version.
GOD watches out for us and listens for our cry.
Psalm 34:15 New International Version illustrates this: The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.
Hebrews 4:15 New International Version further explains: For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
As a kind and loving Savior, JESUS guides us through the journey of life on earth. He actually will speak to us through His Holy Word and the voice of His Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 30:21 New International Version: Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Hebrews 1:2-3 Easy-to-Read Version: And now in these last days, God has spoken to us again through his Son. He made the whole world through his Son. And he has chosen his Son to have all things. The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature, and he holds everything together by his powerful command.
When JESUS rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, He promised not to leave us alone. His presence is still here through the Holy Spirit. He did not abandon us. We take comfort in knowing our Heavenly Lord did not abandon us as orphans. He assured us in John 14:16-19 New International Version: And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[a] in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
How Do I Get In On All These Promises?
GOD has made the plan of salvation so simple. He invites us all to receive JESUS CHRIST. Moments with JESUS are just a couple of steps away. Just believe and confess out loud that you believe in JESUS CHRIST. He died on the cross to shed His blood for our sins. He was buried, but rose again on the third day. After His resurrection He ascended into heaven and is seated on the right hand of GOD, making intercession of us. He keeps us from being condemned. JESUS’ prayers of intercession are mentioned in Romans 8: 34 New International Version: Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

John 1:12 New International Version explains there are some that reject JESUS, but things are different for those who accept Him: Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
1 John 1:9 New International Version promises: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
John 10:9 Amplified Bible gives an offer of fellowship from JESUS’ own mouth: I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security).
Accept the invitation in Ephesians 1:7 Easy-to-Read Version: In Christ we are made free by his blood sacrifice. We have forgiveness of sins because of God’s rich grace.
