Nehemiah 9:15 Amplified Bible
“You gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and brought water for them out of a rock for their thirst, and You told them to enter and take possession of the land that You swore to give them…”

In light of the invasion against Ukraine, this topic may seem very untimely. However, activity in the spiritual realm very often is reflected by what we see in the natural realm. GOD is for us and wants us to possess the territory mapped out for our lives.
This is about you moving into your place of divine victory.
Each of us has a purpose and destiny. There are evil, spiritual forces aligned to hinder us from achieving those goals. However, GOD is greater than every force in the entirety of the universe. He is sovereign and almighty. He wants His sons and daughters to possess everything He has offered to them.
What Is The Land GOD Wants Us To Possess?
To followers of JESUS CHRIST, possessing “the land” refers to manifestation of the promises of GOD, all needs met, accomplishing a major goal, achieving a supernatural victory, overcoming satanic forces in spiritual battle, answers to prayer, spiritual breakthrough, etc. It does not refer to the Old Testament quest to seize geographic territories or wage invasive wars against people.
Ephesians 6:12 Easy-to-Read Version says, “Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places.”
GOD is the master of the Old Testament and the New Testament. But things changed after the ministry of JESUS CHRIST. JESUS has commissioned us to take His gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth. While we are doing that, GOD faithfully protects our possessions.
Matthew 6:33 New Living Translation: Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
So, What Is Promised To Us?
The treasury of GOD contains salvation and wellbeing for the people of earth. After this life on earth, there are even more rewards that GOD has laid up. Some will accept, others will reject His offers.
Colossians 1:5 Easy-to-Read Version: Your faith and love continue because you know what is waiting for you in heaven—the hope you have had since you first heard the true message, the Good News.
1 Corinthians 2:9 English Standard Version: But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”…
In other words, there are a lot of things we can know about our possessions in CHRIST. But there are other things that are inconceivable in excellence. We won’t see or understand those rewards until we are face to face with GOD in His everlasting kingdom.
Our earthly possessions are salvation from sin, healing from disease, deliverance from oppression and pain, prosperity in every area of our lives, victory for every battle that we place into GOD’s hands.
2 Corinthians 9:8 Amplified Bible: And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.
Hebrews 12:12-13 Amplified Bible: So then, strengthen hands that are weak and knees that tremble. Cut through and make smooth, straight paths for your feet [that are safe and go in the right direction], so that the leg which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather may be healed.
Some Of Our Possessions Are Tangible.
Mark 10:29-31 The Message: Jesus said, “Mark my words, no one who sacrifices house, brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, land—whatever—because of me and the Message will lose out. They’ll get it all back, but multiplied many times in homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land—but also in troubles. And then the bonus of eternal life! This is once again the Great Reversal: Many who are first will end up last, and the last first.”
Psalm 112:1-3 New American Standard Bible: Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on the earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.
Philippians 4:19 New Living Translation: And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

And He adds no sorrow to it.
Deuteronomy 28:11 New Living Translation: “The Lord will give you prosperity in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, blessing you with many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops…”
Some Of Our Territory Is Intangible.

Jeremiah 29:11 New Living Translation: For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 1:1-3 Easy-to-Read Version: Great blessings belong to those who don’t listen to evil advice, who don’t live like sinners, and who don’t join those who make fun of God. Instead, they love the Lord’s teachings and think about them day and night. So they grow strong, like a tree planted by a stream— a tree that produces fruit when it should and has leaves that never fall. Everything they do is successful.
Philippians 4:6-7 New American Standard Bible: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 1:8-9 New International Version: Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Some Of Our Territory Is The Harvest Of Souls.
This prophesy of JESUS CHRIST and His inheritance shows us what is on the mind of our Heavenly Father regarding spiritual territory. Psalm 2:7-8 New American Standard Bible : “I will announce the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have fathered You. Ask it of Me, and I will certainly give the nations as Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth as Your possession…”
Mark 16:15 New American Standard Bible: “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation…”
Acts 1:8 New International Version: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Matthew 28:19 New International Version: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…
Daniel 7:13-14 New International Version: “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed…”
What If It Doesn’t Look Like I Am Possessing Any Of These Promises?
GOD wants you to thrive and prosper in this life. He absolutely does.
Luke 12:31-32 New Living Translation: Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom…”

2 Corinthians 1:20 The Voice: In Jesus we hear a resounding “yes” to all of God’s many promises. This is the reason we say “Amen” to and through Jesus when giving glory to God.
2 Corinthians 1:21 New Living Translation: It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us…
Joshua 1:9 New American Standard Bible: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Galatians 6:9 New International Version: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Find His instructions, advice, encouragement, and direction in the Bible, the Word of GOD. He will patiently and lovingly bring you into your promised land.
Joshua 1:8 New Living Translation: Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
Psalm 55:22 New Living Translation: Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
John 3:17 English Standard Version: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
