Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our Potter, And we all are the work of Your hand.
GOD did not make a mistake when He created you. His creation of you was personal and intentional. He did not look at you and say “Oops, I didn’t mean for that to happen.” After all, GOD is sovereign.
See the following proclamation in Psalm 139:13-14 English Standard Version. David is speaking to GOD: For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
In this message to Israel, GOD illustrates a principle about how deliberately He formed us: “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand…” Jeremiah 18:6 New Living Translation
You are GOD’s treasure. His dear and precious creation. He knows your whole story. Everything you have seen, heard, and felt. If those things have been painful, He is the remedy, the cure, and the restoration for all your past.
Jeremiah 29:11 Amplified Bible says, For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 33:2-3 The Message (Bible Version) says, This is God’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as God: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’
Even if you think you are not important, interesting, handsome, pretty, smart, talented, successful, artistic, etc., you are magnificent to the One who matters. GOD loves every nook and cranny of you. He is committed to you and gave His blood to prove it.
Romans 5:8 Amplified Bible says, But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Hebrews 4:16 New Living Translation says, So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
The Bible tells us that every hair on your head is numbered. (Comment added by 8Billionprayers authors: If you are bald, you can be certain that He knows the total number of cells in your body.)
In Matthew 10:30-31 Amplified Bible, JESUS says, But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered [for the Father is sovereign and has complete knowledge]. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
Some people consider collectibles to be their treasure. They collect sports memorabilia, clothes, music, money, etc. But to GOD, you are valuable as a collection of one. You are not like a numbered possession. All by yourself, you are His delight.
Psalm 147:10-11 New King James Version explains,
He does not delight in the strength of the horse;
He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him,
In those who hope in His mercy.
Ephesians 2:10 New Living Translation says, For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Because He loves you, He wants you to be saved, whole, healed, and free. He wants you to live a life in JESUS CHRIST, where there is peace that passes understanding, and joy unspeakable. Even when things look desperate, in CHRIST there is confidence and hope.
Unfortunately, life on planet earth is full of challenges, trials, tribulations, hurts, and disappointments. But, when GOD is in it with us, there is great comfort, guidance, and a way out.
An excerpt from Isaiah 43:2-3 Easy-to-Read Version says, “When you have troubles, I am with you. When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not hurt you. That’s because I, the Lord, am your God. I, the Holy One of Israel, am your Savior…”
Let the following prayer minister to your heart:
Dear Father GOD, please help everyone who reads this post to know and to understand that You are real. Your love for them is supernatural, unconditional, and eternal. Help them see that they can speak to You and find Your compassionate grace. Help them to believe that JESUS CHRIST died for them and rose again as Lord and King. Help them to confess their sins and understand that You will forgive them and erase all their sins as if they never happened. In JESUS’ name. Amen.
Colossians 2:14 New Living Translation says, He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
Isaiah 43:25 New International Version 25 says, I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.
