Mercy Is Waiting

Revelation 3:20 New International Version

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

We don’t have to look far to find people who are bewildered by the public health emergency. We don’t have to go far to encounter people who have more tears than smiles right now. But GOD has words for us that can penetrate all the darkness and all the hurt around us. He has brand new mercies every morning. Not only does He have mercies, the Bible tells us they are tender mercies.

Psalm 69:16 New King James Version says, ” Hear me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good; Turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.”

GOD is a Father Who is the guardian of His children. His mercy is on standby at all times. It even follows us. Mercy overtakes us, if we take up residence with Him.

Psalm 23:6 New King James Version says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.”

What could be better than dwelling under the shadow of GOD’s wings. What could be sweeter than having JESUS CHRIST Himself sit down with us. Even though we may not see Him face to face, there is no denying the majestic presence of the Holy Spirit when we invite Him into our hearts.

If this is all new to you, GOD makes it simple. Just ask Him to forgive you for your sins and to come into your life. We are promised that if we ask Him in, He will show up. James 4:8 New Living Translation says, “Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.” In other words, make up your mind to receive the gift of salvation. Follow Him, instead of the ways of the world.

When we are sorry for our sins, and ask Him to forgive us, He will do it. In fact He will blot out all our sins as if they never happened. He makes us brand new, forgiven, loved, and saved. 1 John 1:9 New King James Version says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

There are just 2 steps to salvation through JESUS CHRIST: believe and confess. You can do it right now. He has been waiting for you.

Romans 10:9-10 New International Version says, “ If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
